Darrin Andrews is a devoted husband to his wife, Daisy, and a proud father to Gavin and Amanda. He is also a loving “Poppy” to his granddaughter Riley and twin grandsons, Calvin and Dawston. Originally from Point Leamington, NL, Darrin moved to Grand Falls-Windsor 30 years ago and has proudly called it home ever since.

Following high school, Darrin built a diverse career in retail, retail management, and call centre management—experiences that took him throughout the United States and as far as Kolkata, India. While these opportunities were invaluable, it was during his time abroad that Darrin realized extensive travel was not where his heart belonged.

Upon returning home, Darrin applied for and was hired by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, shortly after it was acquired by Terry Green from his parents, Winston and Ruby Green. It was here that Darrin discovered his true calling: serving families during their greatest times of need. He quickly found fulfillment in the compassion, care, and dedication required in funeral service.

Darrin has now served as Operations Manager and Licensed Funeral Director for over 18 years, overseeing operations at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Botwood Funeral Home, as well as additional locations acquired over time, including Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Green Bay Funeral Home, and Baie Verte Funeral Home. Experiencing personal loss within his own immediate family has further deepened his understanding and empathy for those he serves.

Together with Terry and the entire staff, Darrin is committed to supporting families with dignity, respect, and compassion—whether during a time of loss or when prearranging services for the future. He looks forward to continuing this meaningful work for many years to come.

Outside of work, Darrin enjoys playing the piano, singing, cooking, hiking, camping, and—most importantly—meeting and connecting with people.
