We, the family of Winston Snow announce his peaceful passing on December 15, 2025 at the Lionel Kelland Hospice in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frances and Charles Snow; in-laws Bernice and Hubert Hatcher; and sisters Florence Hynes and Shirley Thorne. Left to mourn are his wife of 59 years, Linda; son Stephen Snow (Sheree) of Portugal Cove-St. Philips; daughter Lynette Evans (Paul) of Grand Falls-Windsor; sisters Daphne Bishop (Eloil) of Carbonear and Sarah Gill of Grand Falls-Windsor; and brother Thomas Snow (Olive) of Grand Falls-Windsor; and four beloved grandchildren, Hailey and Lauren Snow and Ryan and Sarah Evans, as well as a large circle of family and friends.
Winston retired after serving 21 years as the Executive Director of the Community Business Development Corporation in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Furthering his interest in job creation, after retirement he volunteered as a board member and vice chair with the Exploits Community Employment Corporation. He was a member of the Kinsmen and K-40 Clubs of Grand Falls-Windsor, serving a term as president of both and an active member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. His interest in all sports events was his main entertainment, especially the Cataracts. His beautiful cross-stitch pictures adorn the walls of our homes.
The family feels very appreciative of the care and concern from the workers and residents of Kingsway Living during his time there. Winston was blessed to have spent his last days at the Lionel Kelland Hospice whose core principles are care, respect and dignity, which were exemplified throughout his stay.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 3:00-6:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 am at Holy Trinity Anglian Church. The interment will follow the service at the Anglican cemetery, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
