It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late William "Bill" Sullivan announce his passing on April 19, 2026, at Baie Verte Hospital, at the age of 79 years.

Born on April 7, 1947, Bill lived a life full of laughter, friendship, and good times. He was a friend to many and was well known for his comical nature and the joy he brought to those around him. He cherished his time spent with others and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Bill had a great love for the outdoors, especially fishing. He spent many happy times out on the water in his punt and his speed boat, something he truly enjoyed throughout his life. In his later years, Bill spent his final working years in Fort McMurray.

Bill was predeceased by his father, Patrick Sullivan; his mother, Blanche Sullivan; his sisters, Agnes Dempsey and Rita Skinner; his brother, Roy Sullivan; and his brother-in-law, Terrance Skinner.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his siblings: Vincent Sullivan (Mary), Dennis Sullivan, Thomas Sullivan (Beatrice), Greg Sullivan (Anne), Alicia Sullivan (Gerald), Regina Corbett (Stan), and Veronica Pynn (Ster), along with his brother-in-law Doug Dempsey and a large circle of extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Providential Living in Baie Verte for their care, kindness, and hospitality over the past two years, as well as to the staff of Baie Verte Hospital for their compassion and support during Bill's final weeks.

Bill will be remembered always for his laughter, his spirit, and the many memories he leaves behind.     "The cowboy rides alone."

The public visitation will take place Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM  from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove , NL.

The Rosary and Wake Service will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from  St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL at 7:00 PM

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026  from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL at 2:00 PM.  Interment to follow at  St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brent's Cove, NL.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
