It is with sadness that the family of the late William Casey Hurst announces his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, aged 73 years.

Bill leaves to mourn with loving memories his partner for the past 9 years, Margaret Sheppard; step-daughters, Beverley Sheppard & Kimberley Sheppard; step-grandson, Tyler Power (Hailey) & Allie Harris (Michael); siblings, Jim (Nina), Terry (Cabrini), Pat, Doug (Loree), Randy, Danny (Lynn), Jeannie (Paul), Heather, Joe (Pauline); 21 nieces & nephews; 31 great-nieces & nephews; his best friends who he spent a lot of time with at the cabin, Mike & Lilly Pinsent.

Bill is predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Bowers; parents, Casey & Patricia Hurst (nee Cavanagh); sister, Judy Hurst.

Those who knew Bill knew that he was the kindest, gentlest man with a big heart you could ever meet. When someone walked through the door he was always there to greet them with open arms and made everyone feel comfortable. Even his last days living he still managed to crack that joke and tell us stories. We will always miss you Bill.

In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place.

As per Bill's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
