It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Warrick James Dicks announces his passing in La Scie, NL on February 28, 2024, aged 62 years.

Warrick was born on June 2, 1961 in La Scie, NL to George and Edith Dicks.

Warrick enjoyed the simple things, cutting wood seemed like a favourite pastime, or maybe it was the lunch that was usually enjoyed especially if there were others nearby. A day on the pond trouting or come the fall, getting his snares ready for a few rabbits.

Warrick was always there to lend a hand when he could and if someone needed to go to an appointment or just 'up over the road' there was no hesitation, one wouldn't be able to count the number of times he travelled the highway to take someone somewhere and he enjoyed it to the fullest!

It was the same with work, he enjoyed what he did and no matter what community he travelled to it seemed like there was always someone there that he knew.

Warrick will be missed not only by his family, but a large circle of friends, that were like family.

Left with a lifetime of precious memories is his daughter, Donna Sacrey (Aaron); mother, Edith Dicks; brothers, Glynn Dicks (Lisa) and Alex Dicks (Nola Gray); nephews, Dwayne and Tyler; nieces, Kristen and Rachel; special buddy, Ches Budgell, as well as a large circle of extended family and many friends.

Warrick is predeceased by his father, George Dicks; grandparents, Warrick and Elizabeth Dicks, James and Beatrice Rideout.

Public visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm.

A private family funeral service will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 1pm, with Reverend Harry Oake officiating. Interment will follow from Zion United Cemetery, La Scie, NL
