It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Walter Ronald Butler announces his passing from the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, aged 66 years.

Left with a lifetime of memories are his children, Jeremy James "JJ" and Lynnette (Morgan); grandchildren, Kiera and Abel; step-grandchildren, Rachel and Evelynn; mother of his children, Carol Matthews; siblings, Elizabeth, Christina, Mary (Don), Tyrone, Dolores (Junior), Hilda (Garry), Paul "AP", Ellen (Craig) and Gloria; sister-in-law, Cathy Haas; home care workers, Regina Corbett, Roxanne Payne, Lynn Burton (his crib buddy), Claire Sullivan and Russian Hunt, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.

Walter is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Josephine Butler; brothers, Anthony (Susan) and Donald; infant siblings, Mary Margaret, Mary Irene and Thomas; brothers-in-law, Charlie and Paul.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place.

A funeral service will take place at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's memory to any SPCA location.
