It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful, kind-hearted mother, Viola Bowers, Age 85, on January 26, 2025 at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre.

Left to hold a lifetime of beautiful love and great memories are children, Brenda (Melvin) Starkes, Gander, NL and Kim (Rex) Starkes, Nipper's Harbour, NL; grandchildren, Amanda Jantzen (Brandon), Caitlin Starkes (Christopher), Nathan Starkes (Shania); great-grandchildren, Freya & Ezra Jantzen, Mason & Myles Angel and Kinsley Starkes; sister, Sandra Jamison; siblings-in-law, Fred Bowers, Eileen Bowers, Don Bowers (Annie), Wayne Bowers (Helen), Bonnie Shears, Christine Payne (Frank), Elizabeth Bowers; as well as a large circle of very loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and amazing friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart Bowers; parents, Edward & Fanny Bowers; brother, Mundon Bowers (Margie and Adelaide); parents-in-law, Frederick & Bertha Bowers; step-mother-in-law, Daisy Bowers; grandson,Travis Starkes; siblings-in-law, Ben Bowers, Gary Bowers, Robert (Bob) Bowers, Brooklyn Bowers, Marie Noble (Rudy), Scott Tilley, Tom Shears, Roxy Bowers, Marion Bowers.

Public visitation will take place at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

Cremation will take place as per her wishes.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
