It is with great sadness that the family of the late Timothy "Tim" Douglas Shea announces his tragic passing near Fleur de Lys, NL on August 8, 2025, aged 58.
Tim was born in Baie Verte, NL to the parents of Peter and Elizabeth Shea and was the 7th of 10 children. Tim spent his early years home in Fleur de Lys working in the seal plant, crab plant and caplin fishing with Mick John Lewis. Tim met the love of his life Bernadine Lewis and they spent 34 years together and had two wonderful children, Lucas Shea and the late Connor Shea (predeceased November 9th, 2003). Tim worked all across the country with his last job being in Argentina with the local labour's union 1208. Tim was all about his community, he was a volunteer fire fighter and was always there to help the people of our small-town day or night no matter the situation. Over the years Tim made numerous friends from the east coast to the west, there are many stories from his famous saying "helloooo" or "you're on my blind side." He will be dearly missed in his community and was always the life of the party.
Left with a lifetime of precious memories is his wife Bernadine Lewis; son, Lucas Shea; father, Peter Shea; sisters, Debbie Lewis, Trudy Walsh; brothers, Ed Shea, Gary Shea, Fred Shea, Wade Shea, Rick Shea, Tracy Shea (Bonnie), Corey Shea; mother-in-law, Madeline Lewis; brothers-in-law, Tyrone Lewis (Carrie), Conrad Lewis, Pratt Lewis; sister-in-law, Natasha Lewis (Harold), and a very large number of relatives & friends
Tim is predeceased by his son Connor; mother, Elizabeth Shea; father-in-law, Fred Lewis; brothers-in-law, Gary Lewis, Noel Lewis & Brian Walsh; nephew, Justin Shelley & good buddy Cornell Lewis.
The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 12:30 pm, with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment will follow from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fleur de Lys, NL.
