It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Thelma Kathleen Furey announce her passing from the Valley Vista Senior Citizen Complex, Springdale, NL on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the age of 90 years.

Left with a lifetime of beautiful memories are her children, Edward Furey (Wendy), Jeanette Lidstone (Larry), Marion Furey, Chesley Furey, Madonna Furey, Melvin Furey, Linda Rice (David), Christine Rogers (Bruce), Elaine Lewis (Wayne), Carol Furey (Daryl), Donald Furey (Carol-Ann) and Trudy Blanchard (Rodney); 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Gordon Roberts (Rose), Jessie Roberts, Grace Hancock and Nell Batstone; brother-in-law, Fred Oxford, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Thelma is predeceased by her husband, Anthony Furey; daughters, Margo Furey and Maxine Furey; grandson, Joshua Furey; parents, Delbert and Emily Roberts; siblings, Ralph Roberts (Jesse), Jack Roberts (Ethel), Floss Oxford, Jeanette Taylor (Len) and Clarissa Davis (Bobby); brothers-in-law, Stewart Hancock, Reginald Roberts, Melvin Batstone.

Public visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The Rosary Service took place on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 7 pm.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11 am by invitation only, with Father Camillus Ekedobe officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted.
