It is with immense sorrow that the family of the late Tephi Winnifed Saunders announces her passing from the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the age of 81 years.

Left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories is her husband, Fred Saunders, Burlington, NL; children, Alonzo Saunders (Gayla), Wavey Mills (Chris), and Karen Norman (Eldon), all of Burlington, NL; son-in-law, Derek Mitchell; grandchildren, Hayley (Cody), Marcus (Kristin), Jenna (Shawn), Vanessa, Ashley (Matt), Melanie (Nathaniel), Kaylee (Justin), Alisha (Brandon) and Dawson; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Sophie Burriage; siblings-in-law, Marion Perry, Jessie Perry, Willis Young (Audrey) and Calvin Saunders (Phyllis), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Tehpi is predeceased by her daughter, Ferne Mitchell; parents, George and Lucy King; parents-in-law, Samuel and Elizabeth Saunders; siblings, Edna Kings (Warrick), Daisy Dwyer (Michael), Evelyn Newbury (Francis), Nellie Green (Edward), William King (Pauline), Alonzo Perry (Eliza) and James Perry; siblings-in-law, infants - George and Nelson Saunders, Phyllis Young, Selby Saunders (Maude), Lindberg Saunders and Ernest Perry.

Public visitation took place from Faith Pentecostal Church, Burlington, NLon Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service will take on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 2 pm from Faith Pentecostal Church, Burlington, NL with Pastor Craig Lane officiating.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Tephi's memory to the Alzeimer Society, 835 Topsail Rd Unit 107, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 3J6.
