It is with sadness that the family of the late Sylvia Marie Goodyear announces her passing at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 84 years.

Sylvia leaves to mourn her sisters, Ella, & Margaret (Brian); special great-great nephew, Noah; sister-in-law, Evelyn Goodyear; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sylvia is predeceased by her husband, Melvin Ploughman; daughter, Evelyn; parents, Harold & Evelyn Goodyear; bothers, Lewis and Alex.

As per Sylvia's wish there will be no public visitation.

A private family funeral service will take place, Friday, June 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL with Pastor Elaine Rideout officiating.

The interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Caribou Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
