It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Stephen John "Midge" Tobin announces his passing from the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, age 70 years.

Left with fond and loving memories are his siblings, Harold Tobin (Lucy), Fleur de Lys, NL, Pat Tobin (Lucy), Fleur de Lys, NL, Fred Tobin (Bessie), Port Hardy, BC, Jerry Tobin (Julie), Tumbler Ridge, BC and Len Tobin (Karen), Port Hardy, BC; brother-in-law, Billy Shea, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and close friends.

Midge is predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Bridget Tobin; sisters, Mary Ester and Josephine Tobin and Jean Shea; brother, Gerard Tobin.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place.

A Rosary service and Wake service took place from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Monday, July 24, 2023 beginning at 7 pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 2 pm with Father Tom Duffenais officiating. Interment followed from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fleur de Lys, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Midge's memory to St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 82, Fleur de Lys, NL A0K 2M0.

The family wishes to thank the special people in Midge's life, including, Uncle Jack Tobin, Nancy Lewis, Kristina Fowler, Terri-Lynn Barrett, Rose, Jane, George and Jacqueline Tobin, Genevieve Alyward, Rosalie McCarthy, Billie-Joe Hodder and George Shea.

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor and St. Claire's Mercy Hospital, St. John's for their exceptional care.
