It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Scott Hewlett on January 25th, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 79

Scott was the beloved husband of Loretta for over 48 wonderful years and a devoted father to Sean (Lindsey), Wade (Melissa), Stephen (Maria), Joanne (Steve) and John. He was a cherished grandfather to Jonas, Abigail, Emily, David, Candace, Michael, Justin, Tejay and Hailie, and a proud great-grandfather to Madison, Jennifer and Jedidiah. He will also be deeply missed by his dear siblings, Wade and Kay, also by his nieces, nephews, cousins and his special Aunt Ellen.

Born in Baie Verte, Newfoundland, Scott was immensely proud of his heritage and always looked forward to visiting his hometown. In his spare time, he found joy in fishing and cheering on his favorite team, the Toronto Maple Leaf's.

Interment will take place at Bethany United Cemetery, Barn Hill Road, Baie Verte, NL on August 21st, 2025, at 2:00PM

A Celebration of life will be held at the Baie Verte Conference Room following Interment.
