It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Sarah Jane Downey announces her passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, July 13, 2023, aged 61 years.

Left with a lifetime of precious memories is her spouse, Gerard Dyer; son, Peter Downey (Melanie); daughter, Roselyn Dyer (Tyler Miller); grandchildren, Brayden, Breanna, Kaleb and Kira; step-children, Tana Dyer, Rob Dyer and Bonnie Dyer; siblings, Dermeth Downey, Patrick Downey (Lorianne), Joann Hobbs (Craig), Dennis Downey (Maxine), Madonna Regular (Marshall) and Jason Downey (Jennie); siblings-in-law, Paul Dyer (Edie), Junior Dyer (Carol), Tom Dyer (Irene), Henry Dyer, Glenys Dyer and Patsy Antle (Ted), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Sarah is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Evangeline Downey; parents-in-law, Rossen and Josephine Dyer; siblings-in-law, Mary Dyer, Elizabeth Dyer, Eileen McDonald and Exbidite Dyer (Evelyn); special niece, Brittany Ann Regular; special cousin, Edward Jones.

Public visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.

The Mass of Christian burial took place from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Baie Verte, NL on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 2 pm with Father Camillus Ekedobe officiating. Interment followed from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL
