It is with sadness that the families of the late Ruth Katherine Power announce her passing at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 101 years.

Ruth leaves to mourn with loving memories her children, Sharon (David) Pearcey, Leigh (Gerry) Clark, Lynn Lafargue, Donna (Scott) Shears, Maurice (Mary) Power, Dennis (Brenda) Power, & Terry Power; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Turner; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ruth is predeceased by her husband, Maurice; parents, William & Mary Kelly; siblings, Nell Way, Jack Kelly, Loretta Kelly, Monica Wilson, Bride Flood, & Doug Kelly; son in-law, Andre Lafargue.

The family would like to express their many thanks to the staff of the Carmelite House for their love and care to our mother; as well to Ruth's nieces that visited her numerous times during her stay at the Carmelite House.

In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines the visitation will take place Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.  Please note to attend the visitation you must present your NLVaxPass, or proof of vaccination along a photo ID.

The funeral service, by invitation only, will take place Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 11 am from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Please note to attend the funeral service you must present your NLVaxPass, or proof of vaccination along a photo ID.

The interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
