It is with the deepest of sorrow that the family of Russell Jeffery Fudge announce his peaceful passing at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, at the age of 69 years old, lovingly surrounded by his family.

Born on August 6, 1956 in Grand Falls, NL, Russell lived a life full of laughter, love and dedication to his family and friends. Russell was known for his infectious laugh, sense of humour, and light-hearted spirit.

Russell worked as Pre-Press Manager of Robinson-Blackmore for many years and took great pride in his work. Russell also worked at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre where he was adored by his coworkers. Outside of work, Russell enjoyed golfing, playing cards, watching sports, especially the Toronto Blue Jays, and cherished time spent with family and friends.

Russell was a devoted member of the Exploits Oddfellows Lodge 2N IOOF, as well as the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 12.

Russell is lovingly remembered by his beloved children, Heather Broders (Andrew) and Douglas (Victoria); treasured grandchildren, Kallee, Mea, Sophia and Hudson; and siblings, Terry (Rosemary), Linda, Sean (Pauline), and Roxanne (Ern); as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends, especially his partner, Helen Grouchy.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Gloria Fudge; spouse, Kathleen; and brother Gary.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, and the Cardio-Vascular Intensive Care Unit at the Health Sciences Centre, particularly Dr. Allison Greene, and special nurse, Rochelle.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and/or Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.

The public visitation will take place Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The funeral service will take place Friday, June 26, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Memorial United Church, 13 Church Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL with Rev. Kim Waite officiating.

The interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

Following the service of committal, family and friends are invited to join the family at the Exploits Oddfellows Lodge 2N IOOF at 43 Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor for some light refreshments.
