It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Roy Sacrey announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the age of 70 years.

Left with a lifetime of memories is his wife of 42 years, Mabel Sacrey, Baie Verte, NL; daughter, Luciann Sacrey (Cody), Fort McMurray, AB; siblings, Larry Sacrey, Mississauga, ON, Sharon Brown (Fred), Mississauga, ON, Lorne Sacrey (Rhonda), St. John's, NL, Kathleen Burton (Barry), St. John's, NL, Derek Sacrey (Pauline), Ming's Bight, NL and very special aunt, Iona Toms, La Scie, NL; siblings-in-law, Malcolm Osbourne (Betty), Shoe Cove, NL, Joyca Weir (Robert), Labrador City, NL, Lloyde Osbourne (Barbara), Springdale, NL, Baxter Osbourne (Donna), Baie Verte, NL, Ted Osbourne (Madge), Baie Verte, NL, Keywood Osbourne (Nola), Baie Verte, NL, Maxine King (Bryce), Fort McMurray, AB and Dale Regular (Gary), Baie Verte, NL as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Roy is predeceased by his parents, Lorenzo and Daphne Sacrey; sister, Juanita Furey.

Public visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

A private family funeral service took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11 am with Majors Neil and Dolores Abbott officiating. The family is requesting that all invited to attend the funeral service wear masks.

"Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we'll miss you, until we meet again."

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roy's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1037 Topsail Rd, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 5E9.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.
