It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Roy Oswald John Butt announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, August 13, 2023, aged 76 years.

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Beryl Butt; children, Patsy Ryan (Jeremy), Roger Butt (Lisa), Rodney Butt (Crystal); grandchildren, Joshua Butt (Kerri), Jordan Butt (Sydney), Jay Ryan (Katie), Julian Ryan (Sarah); step-grandchildren, Sarah and Ethan Lush; siblings, Raymond Butt (Barbara), Georgina Martin (Gordon), Gloria Freake (Baxter); siblings-in-law, Junior Martin (Christine), Garry Martin, Doreen Gray (Melvin), Bruce Robinson, Lionel Brake, Ben Welshman (Madeline), and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Predeceased by his first wife, Edna Butt; parents, Eleazer & Annie Butt; sibling, Gladys Prole (Gerald); nephew, Andrew Freake; parents-in-law, Bill & Ruby Martin; siblings-in-law, Viola Gray (Manuel), Eileen Martin, Chloe Martin, parents-in-law – Harold and Lucy Welshman.

Private family visitations took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL.

There will be no public visitations.

A private family funeral service took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, August 17, 2023, with Reverend Harry Oake officiating. This is by invitation only.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.

Interment will follow at a later date.
