It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Roger Samuel Thomas Young announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the age of 85 years.

Left with a lifetime of precious memories are his children, Ben Prouse (Judy), Middle Arm, NL, Navin Young (Bonita), Kirk Young (Sheila), Deano Young, all of Burlington, NL, Tina Thomas (Clem), Deer Lake, NL and Jennifer Whelan (Mervin), Smith's Harbour, NL; grandchildren, Natasha (Eric), Ryan, Lucas, Brandon (Irish), Carrie (Tylar), Sydney, Samuel (Joelle), Callie, Sarah and Matthew; great-granddaughter, Lillian; siblings, Willis Young (Audrey), Stewart Young (Bernice) and Dulcie Kelly, as well as a large circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Roger is predeceased by his wife, Velma Young; parents, Sidney and Florence Young; siblings, Evelyn Bowers (Allan), Thelma Keough (William) and Retta Elliott (Kenneth).

Public visitation took place from Faith Pentecostal Church, Burlington, NL on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service took place from Faith Pentecostal Church, Burlington, NL on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 11 am, with Pastor Craig Lane officiating. Interment followed from the United Church Cemetery, Burlington, NL.
