It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rodney Joseph Downey announces his passing at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 53 years.

Rodney leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother, Ida; sister, Shelley (John); brother, Marshall; nephews, Christopher (Kim), Taylor; great nieces, Donovan & Dylan; plus a large circle of aunts, uncles, relatives & friends.

Rodney is predeceased by his father, Ambrose; biological mother, Cynthia Walsh.

The public visitation will take place Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11 am - 1 pm from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL.

The Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, August 16, 2024 at 1 pm from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL.

The interment will follow from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Fleur de Lys, NL.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the dialysis Unit at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
