It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Robert "Bob" Walter Gray announces his passing. Bob was Promoted to Glory at the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the age of 77 years.

Left to cherish a lifetime of beautiful memories is his wife - Shirley Gray, La Scie, NL; children, Craig Gray (Yvonne), Bolton, ON, Paula Ryan (Greg), La Scie, NL and Trevor Gray (Loretta), Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Lacey Courtney (Jordan), Logan Ryan (Keisha), William Gray, Madison Gray and Max Gray; great-grandchildren, Maryann Courtney, Matthew Courtney and Ryan Haas; step-children, Karen Martin (Chris), Martina Dicks (Chris), Dave Ward, Gene Ward (Sherry) and Arlene Ward (Wayne); step-grandchildren, Stephen Martin (Stephen), Rodger Decker (Brigit), Ryan Decker (Katt), Robert Bennett (Christina), Evan Dicks (Nikita) and Brittany Collins (Mike); step-great-grandchildren, Dax Decker, Jaxson Bennett, Olivia Bennett, Wyatt Collins and Lennon Collins; siblings, Cora Hartigan (Pat), Triffie Burton (Harvey), Woodrow Gray (Gail), Olive Burton (Boyd), Kenneth Gray (Donna), Patsy Howse, Victor Gray (Marlene), Valerie Kerfont (Willie), Peggy Foss (Gerald), Rick Gray (Peggy) and Nola Gray (Alex); special relatives, Ashley Ward (Jarvis), Georgia, Ryder and Cade; siblings-in-law, Geneva Matthews, Annie Matthews, Randolph Gray (Pauline), Hayward Gray (Donna), Betty Osbourne (Malcolm), Dorothy Foster (Augustus), Scott Gray (Norma), Rick Gray, Diane Martin, Ivy Gray, Harvey Morey and Wavey Gray; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, Corps family and innumerable friends.

Bob is predeceased by his first wife, Bernice Gray (2004); parents, George & Effie Gray; parents-in-law, Leslie & Gladys Matthews and Clarence & Gertie Gray; grandson-in-law, Jeremy Courtney; siblings-in-law, Clayton Matthews, Dorothy Critch (Claude), Ruby Batstone (Guy), Frank Hancock, Manuel Gray (Viola), Willie Gray, Cluney Gray, Velma Morey and Sharon Gray; niece, Tracey Critch; nephews, Steven Burton, Kenny Kerfont and Jarvis Gray.

The public visitation took place Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm from The Salvation Army Citadel, La Scie, NL. In keeping with the COVID-19 Guidelines, public visitations must be limited to one family bubble at a time and visitors must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination along with a photo ID to attend the visitation.

A private funeral service took place Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel, La Scie, NL, with Major Kay Barnes officiating. Those attending the funeral service must provide the NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination along with a photo ID.

The interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery, La Scie, NL.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre and the Central NL Regional Health Centre for their care and kindness to Bob during his recent illness. We sincerely appreciate everything you did over the past couple of weeks.
