It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Robert John Sacrey announces his sudden passing. Robert passed away at his family residence in Pacquet, NL on Monday, December 20th, 2021 at the age of 86 years.

Robert is predeceased by his daughter – Judy Sacrey; parents – Dorman & Theresa Sacrey; siblings – Alfreda Martin (Johnny), Lillian Shepperd (Lenton), Gordon Sacrey & Winston Sacrey; parents-in-law – Herbert & Patience Sacrey; siblings-in-law – Mary Regular (Eleazer), Woodrow Sacrey & Harold Sacrey, Florence Sacrey, Mabel Sacrey, Claude Sacrey, Jonas Sacrey.

Left with fond and loving memories is his wife of 62 years – Edna Sacrey, Pacquet, NL; children – Bruce Sacrey (Brenda Blackwood, Wasaga Beach, ON, John Sacrey (Janice), Pacquet, NL, Eunice Gillingham (Dale), Pacquet, NL, Debbie Norman (Corwin), Pacquet, NL & Cecil Sacrey (Judy Martin), Kamloops, BC; grandchildren – Bobby Bailey (Kayla), Judy Sacrey (Tony), Amy Sacrey (Josh), Luke Sacrey (Ashley), Leah Sacrey, Trent Norman (Denise), Terry Norman, Autumn Martin & Zachery Martin; great-grandchildren – Shea-Lynn, Carter, Ivy, Madison, Rylee, Mackenzie, Evan, Faith & Addie; siblings – Evelyn Sacrey, Olive Sacrey, Loretta Saunders (Lewis) & Jessie Mitchell (Reginald); siblings-in-law – Florella Sacrey, Herbert Sacrey, Ted Sacrey, Ross Sacrey (Violet), Mackinley Sacrey (Judy) & Evelyn Jenkins (Lloyd), along with a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends.

Public Visitation took place at Foster Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 from 2:00-4:00PM. In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines, visitors must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo id to attend the visitation.

Pastor Keith Simms conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at Foster Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021 at 1:00PM. The Funeral Service will be by invitation only, those attending the service must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo ID.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the Kidney Foundation, Newfoundland and Labrador Branch, Woodgate Plaza, 58 Kenmount Road, St. John's, NL A1B 1W2.
