It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Mary Skinner announces her passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Long Term Care Unit, Baie Verte, NL, February 8, 2026 at the age of 76.

Rita was predeceased by her husband, Terrance Skinner; parents, Patrick & Blanche Sullivan; brother, Roy Sullivan; sister, Agnes Dempsey; parents-in-law, Jack & Elizabeth Skinner.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Phoebe Skinner (Stephen Bishop); David Skinner; grandchildren, Hunter & Terri Bishop; siblings, Alicia Sullivan (Gerald Haas), Regina Corbett (Stan), Veronica Pynn (Sterling), Vincent Sullivan (Mary), Bill Sullivan, Dennis Sullivan, Tom Sullivan (Beatrice), Greg Sullivan (Anne Payne); brother-in-law, Douglas Dempsey;  also many nieces & nephews & a large circle of relatives & friends.

The public visitation will take place Friday, February 13, 2026  from 2:00PM - 4:00PM, followed by a Rosary and Wake service at 6:00PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026 - 1:00PM from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Baie Verte, NL.

Interment to follow at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Round, NL
