It is with immense sorrow that the family of the late Raymond Edward Rice announces his passing. Raymond passed away at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2020 at the age of 87 years.
Predeceased by his great granddaughter - Destiny Regular; parents - Sterling & Dinah Rice; son-in-law - Gregory Skinner; parents-in-law - Hector & Emma Rice; brother - Paul Rice, Wallace Rice and Harold Rice; sisters - Mildred Stuckless, Bessie Dyer and Evelyn Norman and niece - Paula Rice.
Left with fond and loving memories is his wife of 67 years - Florence; sons - Carl Rice (Viola), Deer Lake, NL, Roger Rice (Christine), Seal Cove, NL, Grayson Rice (Dianne), Lewisporte, NL, Wilbert Rice (Sharon), Chetywend, BC and Derrick Rice (Joanne); daughters - Gloria Skinner, Harbour Round, NL, Jackie Rice (Victor), La Scie, NL and Connie Guidon (Paul), Trail, BC; grandchildren - Dane, Deidre, Contessa, Richard, Shania, Cody, Keagan, Taylor, Nicholas, Niketa, Dorothy, Dinah and Barry; 18 great-grandchildren and sister - Dorothy Gillingham (Don) as well as a large circle or nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, the Public Health Advisory and associated restrictions, we regret to announce that there will be no Public Visitation. Reverend George Critchell conducted a Private Funeral Service at St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL.
We encourage extended family and friends to share condolences, memories and/or photos to Raymond's memorial wall, available on our website. All items will be documented and displayed in our personalized guestbook and presented to the Rice family.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond's memory to St. Swithin's Anglican Church, Seal Cove, NL A0K 5E0.
