It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Raymond "Ray" Jesse John Gray announces his sudden passing. Raymond passed away at his family's home in Bonavista, NL on Friday, June 11th, 2021 at the age of 85 years.

Raymond is predeceased by his wife - Marina Gray (2014); parents - Jesse & Emma Gray; parents-in-law - Edwin & Gertrude Burton; special family - James Gray and Joyce Welshman (Harvey); siblings-in-law - Ella Inder (Chesley), Rita Hamlyn (Gordon), Lloyd Burton (Ruby), Randolph Burton (Hazel), Clarence Burton (Clara), Ralph Burton (Idella), Raymond Noseworthy, Ross Morey, Roy Gillingham and Shirley Burton.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories are his sons - Major Barry Gray (Major Christine), Eugene Gray (Cindy) and Rodney Gray (Sonya), with whom he resided; grandchildren - Justin Gray (Sherry), Jaime Gray (Roger), Mark Gray (Melanie), Marty Gray and Emma Gray; great-grandchildren - Tristan, Sarah, Joshua, Alex, Rhianna, Anna & Hunter; special friend - Joycelyn Green; siblings-in-law - Betty Noseworthy, Doreen Morey, James Burton (Marion), Bond Burton, Kathleen Gillingham and Louise Gillingham (Ralph); special family - David Gray (Dorothy) and Albert Gray (Lynette) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family at Zion United in La Scie and Memorial United in Bonavista and many, many friends.

Public Visitation took place at Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Sunday, June 13th, 2021 from 7:00-9:00PM, following specific guidelines pertaining to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.

Reverend Harry Oake, assisted by Major Barry Gray and Reverend Amanda Barnes conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at Zion United Church, La Scie, NL, on Monday, June 14th, 2021 at 2:00PM. Interment followed at the family plot at Zion United Cemetery, La Scie, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Raymond's memory to Zion United Church, La Scie, NL.
