Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Philip Joseph Hamilton announces his sudden passing at his residence on December 9, 2020 in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 82 years.

He was one of the first hired employees of the then Town of Grand Falls and served the Town for over 30 years. Phil, as he was known by most, was a "jack of all trades", a dedicated family man who loved spending time with his sons in the outdoors and loved helping friends and family fix whatever happened to be broken.  He was truly loved and will be missed dearly.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife, Glenda; sons, Rodney (Anne); Terry (Peggy) and Sean (Darlene); sister, Marie; brothers, Terry (Eleanor), Tony (Deanne), Reg (Debbie); grandchildren, Sandy (Justin), Michelle (special friend, Sufyan), Tyler, Joshua, and Jenna; great-grandson, Finnley as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.

Philip is predeceased by parents, Philip & Mabel; sisters, Catherine, Joan, and Cecilia; brothers, Edward and Alex.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.  All services will remain private by invitation only.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
