It is with great sadness that the family of the late Olive Vivian Newbury announces her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, NL, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the age of 82 years.

Olive is predeceased by her husband Sidney Newbury; infant daughter, Debbie Elaine; Parents, Dorman and Hermina Sacrey;  parents- in-law, Bertie and Annie Newbury; Siblings, Ple Sacrey (Ruby), Jonas Sacrey (Evelyn), Gerald Sacrey, Geraldine Decker (Roy), Viola ( Francis), Edna Fleming (Selby), Eileen Regular (Malcolm).

Left with a lifetime of precious memories: son, Ken Newbury (Deanne), daughter, Susan Parsons (Jeff); grandchildren, Matthew Ford (Amy), Chelsea Cooper (Andrew), Ashley Newbury (Stephen), Megan Parsons, Lexi Parsons; Great-grandchildren, Sybil, Alexis, Dexter, Deja and Ace; Siblings, Maxzene Decker (Gary), Zachery Sacrey (Kay);  As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.

Public visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 3:00PM - 5:00PM & 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 1:00PM from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL, with Reverend Corey Paul officiating. interment to follow at Bethany United Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL.
