The family of the late Nelson Grogan Jacobs are deeply saddened to announce his unexpected passing on September 16, 2026 at the age of 40  in Grand Falls Windsor, NL.

Born September 7, 1986, Nelson was the youngest child of Nancy and Leo Jacobs. He was a loving and caring child, which are qualities that he held throughout his life.

After many years of residing in Alberta and Ontario, Nelson returned to his home community of Westport NL in 2023. In recent years, Nelson fought vigorously through many health conditions. Despite these challenges, Nelson loved to stay busy and will be remembered throughout the community for his heart of gold, hardworking nature and willingness to help anyone and everyone who needed it. Although he had no children of his own, Nelson was amazing with children, and always had the time to play or listen to a story and would often bring little treats for the kids just because he could. Nelson was a loyal and supportive friend and family member. He will be deeply missed by his family, many extended relatives and community members.

Left with loving memories are his parents, Leo and Nancy Jacobs; siblings, Tara Gale (Vince Noseworthy), Randy Jacobs (Francine Gale), and Amy Jacobs (Tyler); Grandmother, Sophia Jacobs; Uncles and Aunts, Andy Gale, Darlene Gale -Theriault (Gerald), Joanne Gale (Audy Collier), Georgina Gale, Roger Regular, David Sharp, Gary Dawe, Wallace Jacobs (Doris), Naomi Ricketts (Cluney), Eliol Jacobs, Daphne Jacobs (Tuan Lam), Willie Chau; Nieces and Nephews, Julien (Alexanne), Kaden, Amber (Jakob), Kendall, Savannah, Alexis (Cole) Zander, Zoe, Bradley, Daniel, Jason (Aurora) and Kayslin; and many cousins.

Nelson was predeceased by Grandparents, Lawrence and Mabel Gale and Walter Jacobs,  Elizabeth Regular, Marion Jacobs, Bernice Bonnell, and Denise Chau and  Hollis Jacobs.
and cousin Cathy Ricketts.

A viewing and Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. Interment will occur at St Peter's Cemetery in Westport.
