It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Peter Seymour announce his tragic passing due to a boating accident on July 21, 2026 at the age of 66.

He was born in Harbour round in 1959 and went on to marry is wife Dorothy and father 3 children.  He loved many of things which included fishing, in the woods, his wonderful little crafts that he so much loved and reading his books at bedtime. Many days he could be found buzzing around on his quad or out in his small row boat, going trouting, mussel picking or just enjoying the water.  He spent many hours in his little shed passing time with his pocket knife and a bit of wood making his crafts that have found a forever home in many places. This is only a few of the many things he loved!

Michael is predeceased by:  his loving daughter Twila Seymour, parents: Margaret and Peter Seymour, brothers: Edward Seymour, Ben Seymour, Kevin Seymour, Leo Seymour, Ambrose Seymour and William Seymour.  Mother and father in law Anistatia and Cyril Drover, sisters in-law: Geraldine Seymour, Tammy Seymour, Clara Drover, Lori Drover.  Nephew: Jonathan Seymour

Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 43 years Dorothy Seymour;  Children: Jeffrey Seymour (Laura Lee Jones) and Melanie Seymour (Lance Viau); Grandchildren Lori Hogan, Megan Thibodeau, Kaleeah Seymour and Jacob Seymour; Siblings: Joseph Seymour, Charlie Seymour, Angelou Seymour, John Jim Seymour (Linda Bishop), Martina Dinn (Gerry) and Margaret Seymour; Siblings in-law:  Bernice Seymour (Lorne Rideout), Leona Seymour (Gary Seymour), Jenny Drover (Stephen Dicks), Nancy Gray (Peter Gray), Elizabeth Drover, David Drover (Roxanne Dyer), Gordon Drover (Debbie Jones), Michael Drover (Lucy Drover), Bruce Drover, Maxine Seymour; Michael will also leave behind a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Public visitation will take place at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL on Monday July 27, 2026 from 2:00PM - 5:00PM Interment will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Round, NL,  at 3:30PM
