It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melvina Jeanette Burton announces her passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, September 30, 2022 at the age of 74 years.

Left with a lifetime of beautiful memories are her sons, Greg Burton and Todd Burton (Desire) both of La Scie, NL; the father of her children, Alec Burton; grandchildren, Steven, Matthew, Sheldon (Selina), Candice (Simran), Cherisse, Natasha (Josh) and Preston; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Cherry (Ralph), Velma (Ted), Jean, Debbie and Carl (Donna), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Melvina is predeceased by her partner, Alex Young; parents, Cecil and Maisie Foss; brother, Robert Foss.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

A private family memorial service will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL. Interment will follow from Bethany United Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL.
