It is with sadness that the family of the late Melvin George Goobie announces his passing at the Carmelite Palliative Care Unit, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 75 years.

Melvin leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his sons, Rick (Kim), & Roger (Barb) Goobie; grandchildren, Lori Ann (Steve), Jerry (Santana), Kyle (Olivia), & Brady (Emma); great-grandchildren, Andy, Bo, & Theo; brothers, Roy (Jessie), Dennis (Linda), & Richard (Patsy); sister, Evelyn; sister-in-law, Trudy; special friend, Geraldine Rodgers; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Melvin is predeceased by wife, Ruth; brothers, Ira & Gordon; sisters-in-law, Geraldine, & Ella; & brother-in-law, Harry.

The public visitation will take place Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The funeral service will take place Monday, February 17, 202 at 1 pm from Memorial United Church, Church Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.  The interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

As expressions of sympathy donations in his memory may be made to the Exploits Search & Rescue, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
