It is with sadness that the family of the late Melanie Ann Gill (nee Curlew) announces her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, aged 82 years.

Melanie was born in Botwood in 1943, where she received her education and was an active member of the CGIT and the Red Cross. At an early age, she began working at the Royal Stores in Grand Falls. She later returned to Botwood and worked with A. N. Antle Ltd. for 23 years, as well as in other local businesses, where she was known for her dedication as both a cashier and in office work.

Melanie leaves to mourn with cherished memories her husband of 62 years, Allan; son, John (Fiona); daughter, Lisa (Dan); and grandchildren, Zachary, Thomas, and Norah.

Melanie is predeceased by her parents, George & Sadie Curlew; grandson, Michael; in-laws, Willie & Violet Gill.

The public visitation will take place, Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Botwood Funeral Home 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.

The funeral service will take place Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 11:00 AM from Saint James Anglican Church, Botwood, NL.

The interment will take place at the Botwood Community Cemetery, Botwood, NL.

As expressions of sympathy donations in her memory may be made to Saint James Anglican Church, Botwood, NL.
