It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Megan Marie Thompson at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, 35 years old. Megan passed peacefully surrounded by her family.

She leaves to mourn her pride, joy & strength; her boys, Egan & Emerson Thompson; Parents, Wayde & Marlene Thompson (Williams); Sisters, Nicole & Doug (Janes), Natasha & Dale (Bartlett); Nieces, Delia, Dallas & Dessa (Bartlett); Nephews, Sawyer & Kacer (Janes); Grandmother, Ruth Thompson; as well as a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and wonderful friends.

Megan is predeceased by her grandparents, Leo & Genevieve (Williams); Grandmother, Betty Ivany; Grandfather, Gerald Thompson; Grandfather, William King; Uncle, William Sweeney; Cousin, Kristian Loveless.

Megan accomplished many things, after graduation she set out on a new adventure and headed to Alberta. While in Alberta Megan explored, made good friends and had many adventures and embraced everything Alberta offered her. Megan moved home to be close to family as she began a family of her own. When Megan returned to work after having her son Egan, she took a position at Professional Beauty Supplies. There she found her work family. She had tremendous expertise in the products with a great work ethic. All the clients that came in loved to chat and laugh with her and she valued each and every one of them.

She loved everything outdoors, trail rides, water skiing, tubing, fishing and anything on the water. She loved, dancing singing karaoke and board games. Megan was active in many sports but her favorite to play was softball. Daughter, sister, friend but her most important title is Mom. She was adventurous, spontaneous and fearless. Megan had the biggest heart and helped others anyway she could. She was resilient in the face of uncertainty, a fighter. Megan was funny, witty with a beautiful infectious laugh and smile. Anyone lucky enough to know her and cross her path before or during her illness have been impacted greatly by her beautiful light and loving heart. She always told her children to be kind and she instilled that message in them through her actions and thoughtfulness for others. Egan and Emerson were her life, her greatest loves and her whole entire heart. They will always remember their car rides with Mom windows down, music up singing on top of their lungs together. Along with her famous words. "Ecouter, Be Kind and keep your hands to yourself & share!"

Megan appreciated all those in health care that she met and who helped her through the three years of battling cancer; the doctors, nurses, & staff in St. John's, Gander, Corner Brook, Grand Falls-Windsor and Halifax. Especially in all the care received from the staff at the Lionel Kelland Hospice. A special thank you from the family to Dr. Wendy House, Dr. John Campbell, Dr. Ahmad, and Dr. Napp.

The public visitation will take place Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The funeral service will take place Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 8A Church Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
