It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Gertrude Pope announces her passing at the Lionel Kelland Hospice, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 83 years.

Mary leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Kate (Tom), Ronnie (Barb), Shirley (Frank); 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Mable (Dennis), Beatrice, Edith, Stan, Bob; plus a large circle of nieces nephews, family & friends.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, George & Jessie Abbott; first husband, Roy Spencer; second husband, George Pope; daughters, Jessie, Ruth; brothers, William, Albert, Edmond, Thomas, Charles; sisters, Myrita Legge, Effie Brent, Elsie Pittman, step fathher, Samuel Dawe; step brothers, Gordon & Samuel Dawe.

In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place.

The funeral service will take place Friday, September 13, 2024 at 2 pm from The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel, 27 Park Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

The interment will follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Caribou Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital or Children's Wish Foundation .
