Mary Maude
Haas
Dec 29, 1947 — Jun 14, 2026
Brent's Cove
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Maude Haas announces her passing from the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, June 14, 2026 at the age of 78 years.
Mary was born in Brent's Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador, on December 29, 1947, to Edward and Ann Sullivan. On June 18, 1966, she married the love of her life, Patrick Haas, and together they built a beautiful family and shared many happy years together.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother and found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. She cherished family gatherings, a good game of cards, a warm cup of tea, music, and her church community. Her home was always a welcoming place where family and friends could gather, share stories, and enjoy her company.
Known simply as "Nan" to her grandchildren and "GG" to her great-grandchildren, Mary held a special place in the hearts of all who knew her. Her love, kindness, faith, and gentle presence will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Patrick Haas; her sons, Jason Haas and Leroy Haas; her parents, Edward and Ann Sullivan; Edward and Elizabeth Haas; her siblings, Adain Sullivan and Clarence Sullivan; her parents-in-law; her son-in-law, Bert Haas; and a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Desmond (Shelly), Joanne (Robbie), Terry (Laura), and Michelle (Jamie); her cherished grandchildren: Brandon (Jenna), Brandi (Jonathan), Brittany, Rodney, Karis (Dale), Jade (John), Elisha, Justin, Noah, Cydnie (Nick), Logan, Jake, and Dawson; her treasured great-grandchildren: Lexie, Preston, Kolbe, Spencer, Sophie, London, Cohen, Dani, and Stevie; her brothers, Von (Cyril) and Len (Marie); Also left to cherish her memory are extended family members Mandi Tucker, Mandy and Aaron Gillingham, and Jayla King, along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the many memories she leaves behind and in knowing she has been reunited with those she loved and missed. Her legacy of love, faith, family, friendship, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
