It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Mary Joyce Gavin announces her passing from Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the age of 86 years.

Left with fond and loving memories are her children, George Gavin, Elvie Hodder (Ray), Wallace Gavin (Diane), Arthur Gavin (Sharon), Allan Gavin (Joyce), Ella Regular (Eddie), Junior Gavin (Debbie), Lorna Sheppard (Paul), Millicent Osbourne (Don), Sophie Sheppard (Tim) and Tracey Gavin; grandchildren, Dana, Thomas, Sheldon, Cordale, Connie, Curtis, Marcus, Jessica, Jillian, Bradley, Coralee, Darren, Andy, Victoria, Deanna, Daniel, April, Andrew, Brittany and Robin; 38 great-grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Ella Mae (Don), Lucy and Hayward (Marie); siblings-in-law, Maude (Esau), Maisie (Ken), Dorcas, and Alma and Claude as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mary is predeceased by her husband, Herbert Gavin; children, Elizabeth, Andrew and baby Gavin; parents, Andrew and Martha Pinksen; parents-in-law, Thomas and Irene Gavin; grandchildren, Ethan, Destiny, Ashley and Amy Marie; siblings, Sidney and Arthur; siblings-in-law, Blanche (Hector), Marjorie (Gord), Victor (Pearl), Shirley, and Eugene; nephew, Morley.

Public visitation took place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.

The funeral service took place from Trinity Pentecostal Church, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 2 pm with Pastor Orane Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Seal Cove, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery Fund, Seal Cove, NL in care of Trinity Pentecostal Church, P.O. Box 28, Baie Verte, NL A0K 1B0.
