Margaret Rose
Drover
Jul 20, 1948 — Oct 5, 2022
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Margaret Rose Drover announces her sudden passing from her family residence in Harbour Round, NL on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the age of 74 years.
Margaret was born on July 20, 1948 to Ambrose and Annie Johnson in South Brook, NL. She was a wonderful wife and mother.
She was always saying something to make you laugh and always quick on the tongue, never stuck for words. She loved to go to the cabin where everyone would gather, have a few drinks, play some music and have a dance. She loved playing cards every Sunday and any other evening that she could get anyone to play. She loved cooking, cleaning, changing out the curtains and bedspreads, and loved to be on the go, especially to the shops. She'll also be remembered for her famous words, "Dats for sure in certainly Lard".
Margaret was always the life of the party, anything for a laugh and a scuff, but her love for her family was always number one. She would call whenever she heard a child cry when Richard was young and say "where is that youngster?", "in the house Mom", "you sure?", she would say. "Yes Mom, right by me maid".
Left with a lifetime of precious memories is her husband of almost 57 years, Ambrose Drover; children, Ellen Drover (John Ivanco), Edmonton, AB, Bill Drover (Vanessa Payne), Fort McMurray, AB, Juanita Drover, Edmonton, AB, Marie Drover (Warren Baker), Fort McMurray, AB and Debbie Tilley (Fraser), Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren, Richard (Kristian), Sean, Kristen and Holly (Cody); great-grandchildren, Casey and Chase; sisters, Kathleen Matthews and Agnes Payne; siblings-in-law, Veronica Johnson and Joe Ventura, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
