It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marcie Gloria Robinson announces her passing from the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, April 16, 2026 at the age of 80 years.

Mom was predeceased by her parents, Baxter and Evangeline Noseworthy; her stepfather, James Gray; her parents-in-law, Sidney and Elizabeth Robinson; and her brother, Raymond Noseworthy and stepbrothers David (Dorothy) Gray and Jim (Betty) Gray.

She leaves behind loving and cherished memories with her husband of 56 years, Eric; her sons, Steven (Rachel) Robinson of Calgary, Alberta, and Brion (Sylvie) Robinson of Moncton, New Brunswick; and her beloved granddaughters, Kate and Claire Robinson, and Alice and Lucie Robinson. She also leaves to mourn her stepbrother Bert Gray (Lynette) and siblings-in-law: Betty Noseworthy (Raymond, deceased), Peter Robinson (Loretta), Norma Robinson (Wilson), Linda Pinksen (Wallace), Marion Eveleigh (Albert, deceased), and a large, close-knit family of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mom was a skilled cook and gardener, as comfortable in the kitchen as she was in the greenhouse. One of her favourite trips was to The Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, where she delighted in the beauty of the flowers and trees—memories she often returned to in conversation. Her collection of recipe books and garden journals reflected her care and precision, filled with
elegant handwriting and meticulous instructions to ensure things were always done just right. She loved hosting, and visitors were always treated to fantastic meals around the dining room table. From fish and brewis to rabbit stew, no one ever left hungry, and everyone went away happy. Family dogs Ringo and Fudgie were always nearby and often treated to a taste of whatever she was cooking that day. The soft trickle
of a nearby brook was ever-present inside and out. From her bright kitchen window, mom could look across the yard to her greenhouse, where she planted cheerful blooms of every colour in the spring and summer. Asters were among her favourites, and no visit was complete without a flower or two to take home. All who visited felt welcomed by her kindness and warmth. Her true gift was love.

After a brief teaching stint in Shoe Cove, mom began working at Scotiabank in Baie Verte, where she remained until her retirement. Through her work, she made lifelong friends and helped countless people who came through its doors. Her dedication and attention to detail also served St. Swithin's Anglican Church, where she and Eric volunteered for many years. Mom assisted with church finances, activities and sewed intricate banners that were enjoyed by parishioners and visitors alike. Above all, mom's family was her life. She treasured time spent  with her granddaughters—listening to their stories, watching them play, and celebrating their accomplishments, both great and small. Her warmth, encouragement, and unwavering love have created a family bond that will be felt and cherished for generations to come.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses in Baie Verte, Corner Brook, Grand Falls-Windsor, and St. John's for their care and compassion. The family also wishes to express their sincere gratitude to everyone who has shown kindness, support, and sympathy during this difficult time. As per Marcie's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service with family and friends will be held at St. Swithin's Anglican Church in Seal Cove, White Bay on June 22, 2026 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Madonna Boone officiating.

The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers to honour mom's commitment to her family and community, donations be made to St. Swithin's Anglican Church or a charity of your choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL
