It is with sadness that the family of the late Mabel Jean Effie (Young) Toms announces her passing at her home in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on June 22, 2025 at the age of 67 years.

Mabel was born on June 18, 1958 to Eileen & David Young in Smith's Harbour, NL. She was a sister to 9 boys and 4 girls and grew up in that large family in Smith's Harbour, NL.

Left to mourn with many childhood memorial are her siblings, Clayton Young, Helen Shiner, Jim Young, Ronald Young (Florence), David Young (Ethel), Geddis Young (Ivy), Bessie Welshman (Malcolm), Gerald Young (Trudy); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Mabel was predeceased by her parents, David & Eileen Young; brothers, Albert, George & Stewart Young; sisters, Lydia YOung & Nina Janes, brother-in-law, Rodman Shiner; & sister-in-law, Laura Young.

The funeral service will take place Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 2 pm from Faith Pentecostal Church, 16 Harbourview Road, Burlington, NL.

The interment will follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Smith's Harbour, NL.
