It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Lucy Haas announces her peaceful passing from Copper Crescent Long Term Care Facility, Baie Verte, NL on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the age of 87 years.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her children, Rose Tilley, Violet Matthews (Gerard), Selina MacDougall (Brian), Bernice Curtis, Clarence Haas (Glenda), Hilda Sullivan (Paul), Darren Haas (Carolyn), Vincent Haas and Diane Snow (Lee); grandchildren, Christopher Tilley, Michelle Matthews, Joe MacDougall, Jason Curtis, Erica Foster, Sarah Matthews, Vera-Lynn Dubuc, Shauna Haas, Jessica Sullivan, Sonya Haas, Danielle Wionzek, Lindsay Reid, Jenna Haas, Ronald Sullivan, Brittany Snow and Will Haas; great-grandchildren, River and Reauna Tilley, Ryder Dubuc, Ava, Joshua and Grace Wionzek, Emily and Katie Foster, Lucas, Noah and Caleb Reid; sister, Josephine Seymour; daughter-in-law, Wavey Haas; siblings-in-law, Irene Payne Skinner, Genevieve Payne, Agnes Payne and Ann Payne, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Lucy is predeceased by her husband, Vincent; parents, Michael and Bernetta Payne; children, Vera and Don; sons-in-law, Barry Tilley, Al Brown and Steve Curtis; siblings, Bridget Giles (Jim), Margaret Giles (Lester), Ann Drover (Cyril), John Payne (Josephine), Nora Matthews (Lawrence), Art Payne, Ralph Payne, Lawrence Payne and Tom Payne.

Public visitation took place from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL on Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.

A Rosary service took place on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 7pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00am with Father Camillus Ekedobe officiating. Interment took on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 11am from St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brent's Cove.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Lucy's memory to South and Central Health Foundation, Copper Crescent Long Term Care's "Bring the Bus Home" fundraising campaign.
