Lorraine Gloria
White
Mar 22, 1947 — Apr 18, 2022
Grand Falls-Windsor
It is with immense heartbreak that the family of the late Lorraine White (nee Way) announce that she passed peacefully away to her heavenly reward at her residence in Grand Falls Windsor, NL at the age of 75.
Lorraine leaves with hearts full of love and memories, the love of her life, Tom; 2 daughters, whom she loved beyond measure Tina (Steve) Manuel, Lori (Mike) Barry; and the pride and joys of her life her grandchildren, Melissa (Shawn) Brewer, Stephanie Manuel, Jasmine Manuel, Thomas Barry and Aidan Barry; brothers, Roger (Kelly), Roy (Agnes), Don, Shawn (Kim); sisters; Joan (Dan) Ritchie, Elaine (Roger) Davidson, Gerri (Tony) Savell, Cindy, and Marjorie (Gord) Critch. She also left an enormous legacy with a number of nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Roy Way and Maggie LeDrew (nee Curtis); 2 brothers in infancy Raymond and Gerald; and her parents-in-law, Ralph and Harriet White.
Lorraine had a heart bursting with love and compassion for everyone she met and made an impact on so many lives. Her family was everything to her and anyone who met her wouldn't have to talk to her long to know that. The only thing Lorraine loved more than her family was her God. It was her unwavering faith that was her drive to serve others and allowed her the privilege of touching so many lives. She served so faithfully as a Salvation Army soldier and wore her uniform with pride, especially her hat. She had many roles at the church and gave her life to service for God and was blessed to mentor and influence so many people and set a wonderful example for her family. For this reason, so many lives are left with a void today, but remember the words she said so many times to others, "to be absent from the body is to be present with Lord." No doubt she is in His presence today.
Well done thou Good and Faithful servant!!!!
