It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sarah Lorraine Shea announces her passing on Monday, January 26, 2026 at the age of 65 years.

She was predeceased by her husband - Joseph Shea; Father - Michael Downey; Brother - Frankie Downey; Parents-in-law - Thomas & Stella Shea; Sisters-in-law - Florence Traverse, Madeline Traverse, Maryann Downey; Brother-in-law - George Baggs.

Sarah leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her mother - Mary Downey;  son - Joshua Shea (Nikita); Grandchildren - Ethan Shea, Lukas Shea; Siblings - Morris Downey, Fabian Downey (Carmel), Don Downey (Jody), Teresina Baggs (Bram), Mike Downey (Jackie); Siblings-in-law - Thomas Shea (Lene), Gerald Shea, Peter Shea, Lucy Tobin (Pat), Edna Belliveau (Raymond), Ruby Cousins (John), Carmel Alyward (Lloyd); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Rosary service will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL, at 6:30 pm, followed by a Wake service at 7:00 pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 2pm from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Fleur de Lys, NL.
