It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Loretta Gillis announces her passing. Loretta passed peacefully away at home in Baie Verte, NL on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the age of 84 years.

Left with warm and loving memories are her children, David Gillis, Donald Gillis, Deborah Clarke (Sid) and Darren Gillis; grandchildren, Robyn (Tyler), Robert, Liam, Ian; siblings, Mercer (Patricia), Doreen (Teddy), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Loretta is predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Gillis; parents, William and Margaret Gabriel; siblings, Fintan (Emma), Joan, Melvin (Eileen).

Public visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.

A Private Family Celebration of Life Service will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Baie Verte, NL on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 1 pm, with Father Anthony Aikins officiating.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Loretta's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Newfoundland Division, 1037 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL A1N 5E9.
