It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Lizzie Decker announces her peaceful passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, September 7, 2023, aged 95 years.

Left to mourn is her son, Howard Decker (Gladys); grandchildren, Percy Mitchell, Keith Mitchell, Corey Mitchell (Julie), Cora-Lee Simms, Carson Decker (Teresa), Corwin Decker; sister, Beatrice Saunders (Gordon); brothers, Lindsay Packwood (Donna), Gordon Packwood (Joanne); Louise and Daphne, along with her precious great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Lizzie is predeceased by her husband, Samuel Decker; daughter, Leatrice Mitchell (Gid); parents, Camberia and Bertha Packwood; brother, John Thomas Packwood (Mary); parents-in-law, Pearce and Alice Decker; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hillier, Mary Ivany (Arthur), Beulah Wells (Ford), Ruby Ruth (Walter), Irene Packwood; brothers-in-law, Francis Decker Sr. (Rebeca), William Decker (Stella), Joe Decker (Olga), Francis Decker Jr. (Viola).

Public visitation took place from The Salvation Army Citadel, Woodstock, NL on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 7-9 pm.

The funeral service took place from the Salvation Army Citadel, Woodstock, NL on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2 pm, with Major Laverne Fudge officiating. Interment followed from The Salvation Army Cemetery, Woodstock, NL.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lizzie's memory to The Salvation Army Citadel, Woodstock, NL c/o The Cemetery Fund.

The family would like to thank the staff of White Bay Retirement Living, the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre and Sunset Memorial Funeral Home for the care given to their loved one.
