It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Linda Ward on October 1, 2025, aged 47 years.

Left behind with fond and loving memories are her much loved sons Thomas and Stevie, her father Mark Ward (Diane), her sister Diana Dawe (Will), their children Sierra and Milo and her Aunt Dorothy Ward (Tom).

Linda was predeceased by her mother Faye Ward (Bryans).

A proud veteran, Linda served her country- including tours in Bosnia and Afghanistan. After her time, she studied Nursing at Memorial University, a career she took seriously and with great pride. This journey of her career brought her to Buchans, where she settled in and made a home for her family.

There was nothing that brought her as much joy as her two boys. She spent her time with them exploring and adventuring. Often, she could be found with them at the playground, the library, or the Boys and Girls Club. Together they travelled the island, trying new foods, seeing new sights, and learning new things.

Linda loved exploring and spending time in nature, going for a nice walk and breathing the fresh air. She loved reading and learning new things. She loved music and recently returned to learning the guitar. She loved growing fruit and vegetables in her garden and then using her yields in the kitchen. She was always thoughtful, considerate, and appreciative of those who lent a helping hand.

The public visitation will take place Friday, October 10, 2025 at 7:00-9:00 PM from The Salvation Army Church, Buchans, NL.

The funeral service will take place Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM from The Salvation Army Church, Buchans, NL.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
