It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Leander John Martin of Shoe Cove announces his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the age of 83 years.
He was predeceased by his Parents, Leander and Sarah Martin; Parents in-law, Hubert and Doris Osmond; Son in-law, John Hoddinott; Brother, Edgar Martin(Phyllis); Sisters, Cora Randell(Arthur), Elsie Randell(Kenneth); Brothers in-law, Llewelyn Osmond, John Brett.
Leaving to Mourn, his wife Evelyn Martin of 59 Years, his 8 children, Norma(Scott), David(Gloria), Juanita, Brian(Pansy), Kevin(Amanda), Jerry, Richard(Rhonda), Nancy(Eddy), his 16 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, and a large number of nephews and nieces and extend family and friends.
Also mourning, special cousin, Junior Martin(Christine) and special friends, Les and Vicky Canning.
Lee's wife, Evelyn, and children are forever grateful for the wonderful care that he received while living at his home in Shoe Cove; Provided by his homecare workers, Mary Croken and Gwen Morey, for the last three and a half years.
Public visitation took place on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM, from First United Church, Shoe Cove, NL.
The funeral service took place on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 1:30 PM from First United Church, Shoe Cove, NL with Reverend Harry Oake officiating. The interment followed at the First United Church Cemetery, Shoe Cove, NL.
