Junior James Hynes, at the age of 71, was promoted to glory on March 22, 2022 at the Civic Hospital, Ottawa, ON, with his wife and three girls by his side.

Junior leaves to mourn with broken hearts and treasured memories: his wife, Verna of 49 years; daughters, Janice Blundell (Bill), Julie Whalen (Mike), and Jessica Brisco (Andrew); 6 grandchildren, Noah, Hannah, Ryan, Dylan, Oliver, and Lucas; sister, Jeneta Greenham; brother, Elmo (Irene); sisters-in-law, Violet, Rita, and Dulcie; brothers-in-law, Bruce Downton (Irene) and Clyde Downton (Edith); as well as a large and wonderful circle of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Junior is predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Dorothy Hynes; brothers, Calvin (Jean), Clayton, Fred, and Gerald; and brother-in-law, Victor Greenham.

The public visitation will take place Friday, April 1. 2022 at 7 pm to 9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2 pm from The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel with Major Jim Mercer and Majors Owen and Sandra Budden officiating. The service will be live streamed on The Salvation Army Park Street Facebook and YouTube channel.

At the request of the family masks will be mandatory for both the visitation and the celebration of life service.

The interment will be at The Salvation Army cemetery, Caribou Road, Grand Falls-Windsor. NL.
