It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Julia Sarah Mae Bartlett announces her peaceful passing from her residence in Burlington, NL on Friday, November 17, 2023, aged 72 years.
Left to mourn is her husband, Neville Regular; children, Crystal Bowers (Corey Decker) and Dallas Bartlett; granddaughters, Kayla Bowers (Ben Oxford) and Alexa Bowers (Robert Stacey); siblings, Walter Matthews (Gladys), John Matthews (Nellie), Alex Matthews and Wesley Matthews; step-children, Randy Regular (Adriane), Steadman Regular (Kathy), Sherry Andrews (Ellis), Brent Jacobs (Kara), Robbie Bartlett (Irene), Hilda Austin (Ivan), Gladys Matthews (Walter), Eddie Bartlett, Don Bartlett, Louise Bartlett and Edna Dawe; step daughter-in-law, Audrey Bartlett, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Julia is predeceased by her husband, Ron Bartlett; parents, William and Mary Helen Matthews; siblings, Fred Matthews, Sarah Matthews, Rita Dove (Norman), Georgina Freak (Sidney), Blanche Shiner (Clifford), Melvina Gallant (Cyril), Henry Matthews (Mina) and Garfield Matthews; sister-in-law, Myrtle Matthews; step-children, Richard Bartlett, Jeanetta Lush (Melvin), Gordon Bartlett and Harry Bartlett.
The will be no public visitation.
The funeral service will take place from Riverside United Church, Burlington, NL on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 1 pm, with Reverend Harry Oake officiating. Interment will follow from Perry's Cove Cemetery, Burlington, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in Julie's memory to the Burlington Relief Committee.
As a family we would like to express sincere thanks to everyone who has reached out to our family in various ways during this difficult journey. Your love and support has provided us with great comfort, for which we are truly grateful. A special thank you to Gladys Matthews, who was not only a true best friend, but a constant source of love and encouragement each and every day. Your thoughtfulness will forever be cherished, you are loved beyond measure. To Audrey Bartlett, Tonya Chipp and Tiffany Gray, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for going above and beyond in so many ways. We love you. To Dean Kelly and Steve McMahon for opening your hearts and homes allowing us the opportunity to be together as a family, we are immensely thankful for your kindness. Also, to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home staff of Baie Verte for demonstrating such professional care, and to the Burlington Fire Department for volunteering their services. We are truly grateful for each and every one of you.
