It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late P. Joyce (Martin) Burton announces her passing. Joyce slipped into the presence of the Lord at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, St. John's, NL on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

Joyce is predeceased by her husband - Oswald Burton; parents – Jacob & Lavinia Martin; parents-in-law – Samuel & Rowena Burton; siblings - Maisie Martin, Doris Wimbleton, William Martin, Irene Newbury, Boyce Martin, Jacob Martin and Eric Martin and siblings-in-law - Reginald Burton, Dorman Burton, Nerissa Hamlyn, Bernice Greenham and Ruby Andrews.

Left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children - Ivan Burton (Carolann) and Deanna Matthews (Guy); grandsons - Dean Burton (Megan), Douglas Matthews and Dylan Matthews (Andrea); great grandchildren - Maisie Matthews and Zack Burton; special sister - Ivy Cooper (Robert) and siblings-in-law - Pearce Andrews (Shirley), Daisy Martin and Ruby Martin as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Public Visitation took place at Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 from 4:00-7:00PM, following specific guidelines pertaining to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.

Reverend Guy Matthews, assisted by Reverend Harry Oake, conducted a Private Family Funeral Service at Zion United Church, La Scie, NL on Sunday, April 11th, 2021 at 1:00PM. Interment followed at Zion United Cemetery, La Scie, NL.

As an expression of sympathy donations may be made in Joyce's memory to Zion United Church, La Scie, NL.
