It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Eugene Morgan announces his passing from the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Thursday, September 10, 2026, aged 67 years

Joseph (Joe) Morgan was born in La Scie on March 3, 1959 to Allan & Rosalind Morgan, he had one sister, Marion and three brothers, Dean, Lloyd & Shawn.

As a young man he met and married Marlene Ryan, they had one child, Alan, who died at 9 months and also another son Christopher from a previous relationship.

Joe worked at the fish plant in La Scie until it closed and then worked on the wharf at the offloading.

Joe loved to go fishing for trout, moose hunting, rabbit catching, but most of all he loved spending time with family.

Predeceased by wife Marlene; son, Alan; grandson, Camren; parents, Allan & Rosalind Morgan; brother Dean; parents in-law, Dorman & Marjorie Ryan; Sisters-in-law, Norma Domolain & Kim Ryan; Brother in-law, Lester Short.

Left with precious memories are son Christopher (Danielle); Grandsons, Malaiki, Landon & Christopher; Siblings, Marion Short, Lloyd Morgan, and Shawn Morgan; Sister-in-law Gwen Morgan; also a large number of nieces, nephews, special friends, the Ryan family and a large circle of other relatives and friends

The public visitation will take place Monday, September 14, 2026 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Zion United Church, La Scie, NL.

The funeral service will take place Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM from the Zion United Church, La Scie. NL with Rev. Harry Oake officiating.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Zion United Cemetery, La Scie, NL

The interment will take place at the Zion United Church Cemetery, La Scie, NL.
